New York Jets select CB Kyle Wilson, Boise State

With the 29th pick, the Jets chose CB Kyle Wilson. They opted to stay put at #29 rather than move up or down. DL Jared Odrick, who was thought to be pretty high on the Jets' board, went just one pick earlier to division rival Miami. The Dolphins had traded down from #12 to thwart the Jets' plans.

Wilson provides insurance in case Antonio Cromartie is a bust. Wilson is just 5'10", but he's got great tackling ability, great speed, and he's got great ball skills. The Jets now have three cover cornerbacks who they can put on guys in the playoffs when they go against New Orleans or Indianapolis. Rex Ryan can now bring 8 guys, put the 3 cornerbacks on an island, and shut teams down.

The Jets will likely look to add a defensive lineman in round 2 or 4.
