The Jets and kicker Jay Feely have agreed to a one year contract. Feely was 24-28 last season, for an 85.7% clip. Feely has kicked 83% or above each of the last four years, three of those in Giants Stadium. He does not have a big leg, and isn't great at kickoffs, but he did a good job last year, even if I haven't yet forgiven him for missing the field goal on the opening drive week two against New England. I still think that set a negative tone for that entire game, which could have ended differently...
Still, you can't argue with 85%. He was 6-7 from 40 yards out, too, and he made both field goals of more than 50 yards.
The terms of the one year deal were undisclosed, but it can't be for much more than the league minimum.
