Favre to the Jets?

First, let's get some other business out of the way. Chris Baker has been activated off the PUP list, and he appears to be in a better mood than he was a few weeks ago when he was concerned about his contract being redone. He's mostly blocking and isn't talking about his contract dispute and is "happy to be here."

There's nothing in the last few practices to indicate whether Pennington or Clemens will start next season. Both have played alright, neither particularly great.

...which brings us back to Favre.

ESPN says the Jets offered a 4th rounder that could potentially be a 2nd rounder based on incentives. Peter King of Sports Illustrated reports the Jets offered a 3rd that could move up to a 1st based on incentives.

With the Jets playing the Browns tomorrow night, and Green Bay wanting to get something done as soon as possible, this could happen within the next two days. The Bucs are the other suitor, and something tells me that Jon Gruden will make sure he can bring in Favre at all costs.

Stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen. This is not over.
